The Square D S33595 full-function test kit consists of a signal-injection box which can be use alone or with a supporting personal computer (PC). The optional test kit software is compatible with Windows 95, 98 and Windows NT Operating systems. The Full-function Test Kit (FFTK) supports testing of a wide variety of trip units in Masterpact® NW/NT, Powerpact® and Compact® circuit breakers.

  • Conduct automated and manual trip tests for Micrologic® and STR series using the included 7-pin and 2-pin cables.
  • Measure trip-time accuracy (±5 ms, 1 ms resolution) up to 3000 s for coordination verification.
  • Inject calibrated voltage (0.031–21.5 Vrms @ 60 Hz) and current (0.02–2.3 A dc) signals with ±3 % accuracy.
  • Utilize the built-in 24 V dc output for powering trip units during bench tests. 

The test kit without a supporting PC may be used to check:

  • The mechanical operation of the circuit breaker
  • The electrical continuity of the connection between the tripping coil and the trip unit
  • Trip unit operation
    •         Display of settings
    • Operating tests on the electronic component
    • Automatic and manual tests on protection functions (trip curve verification)
    • Tests on the Zone-Selective Interlocking (ZSI) function
    • Inhibition of the ground-fault protection for equipment
